Live Hell Scroll in Tokyo 24
One night built entirely around drums paired with something loud. Four acts at BAR 地底 in Otsuka, Tokyo, 5 September 2026. ¥2,000 plus a drink.
A night organised around one idea: a drummer, and one other person making something extreme next to them. Four acts at BAR 地底, the basement bar in Otsuka, on Saturday 5 September.
The duo format as the whole point
Booking a bill around duos rather than around a genre is a specific choice. Two people improvising leaves nowhere to hide — no section to fall back into, no arrangement to carry a flat night. It is also the format most of Japanese noise has actually been made in, whatever the records suggest about solo projects.
The organisers describe the headline pairing as a drum-noise duo: P.o.R.n.O., which is P.O.V. together with O.N.O. of yard rat — a drummer they describe as coming from Ōita, several hundred kilometres from Tokyo. They call the booking 貴重, meaning rare or precious, which reads as a note that this particular pairing does not happen often.
The bill
Full running order sits under LINEUP below. Alongside P.o.R.n.O. are 酩酊麻痺, and AxKx — the pairing of 関口マーフィー and 関風人, written on the flyer in katakana as アックソカゼクソ. DJ コイデリョー plays between sets.
Entry is ¥2,000 with one drink order on top, which is the standard arrangement at a Tokyo bar of this size. Worth knowing before you travel: 地底 takes cash only.
