'Metalizer (ode to a machine)' is 5 tracks of chaotic harsh noise composed entirely from the Arturia Microbute with minimal editing, effects or processing. One of my all time favorite machines and one of the first synthesizers I ever purchased, the compact, analog monophonic synth features a continuously variable oscillator, the classic Steiner-Parker multimode filter that can self-oscillate, the "Brute Factor" knob for dangerous, overdriven saturation, the Ultrasaw for fat, detuned sawtooths, Pulse Width Modulation, and the albums namesake, the Metalizer for adding harsh, harmonic-rich textures to the Triangle wave. An absolute work horse capable of stunning aural beauty as well as disintegrating walls of sonic collapse.
